- In the single-player campaign during Chapter 3 in the puzzle where Simon must dig up the key with a spade in the Waspet Gardens to get to the apartment rooftops to meet Sophie, the spade is merely a tool for digging, in the item inventory Simon states that the spade is too flimsy to be used as a weapon.
- It is named “sledgeshovel” in the game files.
