Simon's Book or Laser Book is a secret weapon in Cry of Fear.
Overview
- Unlocked after beating Nightmare difficulty with an S-rank.
The book fires continuous bursts of flame that deal extreme damage and light up the area. The book has an auburn cover, while the pages have the word "SUICIDE" scribbled all over them in messy handwriting.
Advantages
- Extreme damage (capable of killing Sawrunner in 30 seconds)
- Unlimited ammunition
- Flames act as a light source
- Does not affect accuracy ranking
Disadvantages
- Incredibly hard to unlock
- Obscures a part of the player's view when using it
- Flames travel a limited distance, unlike bullets
- Trivializes the game
